Ingredients for a Power Shoot
2 Artistic Photographers
2 Lovely Models
1 Talented Actress
1 Amazing Makeup Artist
First you start out with an idea to have an evening of getting a group of talent together and shooting them with each their own look. Then you bring them together at the studio and get Make Up going. As the Make Up Artist (MUA) finishes up the first model, she goes off to shoot. Then the actress enters into Makeup then as she finishes up, the first model is finishing up with her first look. So now the actress goes off to shoot and then the third model comes in to see the MUA and so on. Before you know it, we have a round robin going on and that becomes a power shoot.
So now we have Sarah Terry-Treviso, Sebrina Scott and AnnMarie Barragan in the house, along with Joey Goldsmith and myself shooting and the extraordinary Isidro Valencia working Make Up. Sarah reached out to me about wanting to add some Black & White work to her portfolio, which had my name written all over it, so then boom! We’ve got an international model on the set! Then Joey brings on board Sebrina Scott who needs some studio portraits and head shots for her portfolio… Boom! We’ve now got an award winning actress on set. Then last but far from least, Isidro Valencia and I finally break ground on a series we had been eagerly anticipating for several months… Macro Beauty. And for this we bring in my ever radiant wife, AnnMarie Barragan. So away we went with this power house of an evening… laughing, posing, shooting, applying makeup, having fun with each of us in our artistic zone. By the time the night ended we had all put our hearts into the power shoot and walked away with some mighty impressive results. On behalf of everyone involved, I’m proud to release the final images from that evening. Focused.
