When Clarissa Jones and I first started chatting about photographing her family’s portraits, I pitched to her a few ideas that had been inspiring me for some time now, fine portraits of families. So I showed her some sample images, and to which she responded that she was excited to try that out. Come photoshoot day, Clarissa and her daughter Jayda showed dazzling as could be, while her husband Brian, and son Jensen were just as equally dapper. The deep hues of navy and subtle grays of their outfits complimented my hand painted Oliphant backdrop perfectly. As the time went one, I felt like the portraits were becoming more and more beautifully powerful, wrapped in simple dramatic lighting to give it the finishing touches of fine portraiture. Of this whole set I’d have to say my favorites are of Clarissa & Jayda and Brian & Jensen, as they convey the genuine bonds between mother & daughter and father & son. So with out further a do, I’m excited to present their set in whole. Cheers!
