Very amazing week! Accomplished, Gratifying and Focused to sum in up in 3 words. First, yesterday evening I picked up payment from a client. A very sincere client, who I've done a couple gigs for. In the envelope was a very sweet and rewarding hand written letter. She expressed her gratitude for meeting me, being flexible with her needs and most importantly delivering to her my photography which captured the visuals she had in her mind. This touched me deeply and only reassured me of the hard work and dedication I provide to my clients. Lanisha Porter, thank you very much! Your letter is getting framed for my office as a constant reminder as to one of many reasons I will remain Focused.
Secondly, I received an email Monday night for a last minute event gig. I accepted and delivered. I was hired to cover the The Drew Estate Event at Riverside Cigars. I had no clue to who or what the "Drew Estate" was, and after doing a bit of research I felt honored to of been hired for this event. After talking with the owner, Jeff Mouttet, he expressed to me sometimes it's a friendly gesture or a simple "Hi" that can draw a client to a photographer. This again showed me the importance being Focused on yet another aspect... Common courtesies and just plain old friendly business etiquette. Thank you again Jeff Mouttet for that opportunity and I look forward to visiting Riverside Cigars on my personal time in the near future.
Last but not least... The Seven Deadly Sins Collaboration. I was assigned Envy and I knew at that point this would be a project that demanded I push my artistic vision to the next level... After hours of drawing in inspiration, planning, shooting and editing I was able to to deliver a story I envisioned perfectly. I could of not done it without John Timothy Manor though. I explained to him where I was going and he delivered the work that was needed for my vision. A very accomplished collaboration brother, again I thank you and l look forward to the next. I initially did not know how well my final image of "Se7en | En7y | VII" would be received by other viewers, although I felt confident in my work itself... As the roll out of my story began and I started receiving feedback I knew my Focus had once again paid off. And to be honest, I am still completely humbled at how many people posted genuine compliments of praise. Thank you everyone who took the time to follow me on this and to Joey Goldsmith, Antonio Pantoja and Chare'e Marniece - Thank you again for that needed push of encouragement a few weeks ago. Focused.
A personal journal about any given day in my photography career where I will write about anything from portraits and headshots to sharing my educational experiences. Thank you for taking the time to stop by, it's my pleasure to share my stories with you!
